who we are

Caris and Ryan are the co-owners of Driftwood Sauna Co, alongside Caris’ brother Nate and his wife Rockie. Together they run a family-owned business grounded in connection, care, and community.

Caris and Ryan moved to Whidbey Island in 2022 with the intention of setting roots, growing their family, and becoming part of a place shaped by land, history, and community. What began as a personal pull toward slower living and building intentional community naturally grew into the desire to build a family business on the island.

Whidbey has long held meaning for Ryan’s family, who have been visiting their family cabin on the island since the 1940s. That deep connection helped shape the way they view this place, not just as somewhere to live, but somewhere to show up, contribute, and care for.

Driftwood Sauna Co is an extension of that intention. Through social and private sauna sessions around the island, they aim to create welcoming spaces where people can gather, slow down, and connect with themselves, each other, and the land that makes Whidbey what it is.

At its core, Driftwood Sauna Co is about community, warmth, and building something meaningful together.
